Everything you need to know before your first MAGIC workout

You’ve ordered your MAGIC mirror and you’re patiently waiting to do your first workout and take your fitness goals to the next level. Before you turn on your mirror, here are our top tips to get started. 

  1. Get your set up right. Make sure you’ve got enough space for your mirror - you’ll need 5 ft of clearance space in front of the mirror for effective camera tracking, which is about the size of a standard yoga mat. The mirror can be mounted on the wall or leant against it, whatever is best for your set up. Make sure you’ve got a good internet connection, an exercise mat ready and you’re good to go. 

  2. Get the right gear. You’ve got a beautifully designed exercise mirror coming to your home - it’s important you’ve got the right kit to go with it! You will need at least 3 sets of dumbbells for your workouts (light, medium and heavy). We would recommend the MAGIC smart dumbbells so that you can easily switch weights from 2-32KG in one click, meaning your progress isn’t compromised as you get stronger - and they save loads of space too! We’d also recommend the MAGIC bench as you’ll need this for some of your workouts, or alternatively you can use a chair or similar at home. Finally, you’ll need a yoga mat. And while you’re at it, why not treat yourself to a nice new gym outfit too!

  3. Get started! Getting set up is really as easy as 1, 2, 3. Just plug in your mirror, turn it on and you’re good to go! Take the opportunity to try as many different workouts and programmes as you can, see which trainers you prefer and the type of workouts you’re into. Fitness is all about having fun, and we’ve created a variety of different workouts and programmes so there’s something for everyone.
